Position Responsibilities
Assist senior researchers with the implementation of research studies and program evaluations in a range of contexts, industries, and disciplines
Participate in field research to collect data, engage participants, and facilitate onsite evaluations
Conduct literature reviews and background research
Collect, organize, and format data in preparation for analysis
Maintain quality control and ethical standards to preserve research integrity and findings
Analyze data using valid statistical and qualitative research methods
Assist in preparation for institutional review board (IRB) processing
Work with the senior researcher to develop research protocols and instruments including interview questions, focus group themes, survey items, and research frameworks
Recruit and manage research participants and subjects
Maintain accurate and secure data records, safeguarding the confidentiality of subjects
Request or acquire equipment or supplies necessary for the project
Manage and respond to project related correspondence
Attend project meetings
Prepare other articles, reports, and presentations for granting agencies, foundations, clients, and sponsors

Master’s degree in education, social science, STEM, humanities, or a related field
A bachelor's degree in these fields plus 3 years of experience can be substituted for the educational requirements
Proven experience in research design, methodology, data analysis, and report writing
Bilingual applicants are strongly encouraged to apply, particularly those with Spanish language skills (not required)
Passion for understanding diverse cultures and their impact on development and behavior
Excellent communication and organizational skills with attention to detail
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously
Experience with and ability to conduct remote work and telecommuting
Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and Google Suite
Ability to travel in the U.S. and abroad on a limited basis
U.S. citizen or permanent resident who resides in the United States
Reporting Lines
The Research Specialist reports to the Senior Researcher and/or CEO and collaborates closely with project team members

Ability to lift and carry equipment up to 50 lbs.
