Position Responsibilities
  • Assist senior researchers with the implementation of research studies and program evaluations in a range of contexts, industries, and disciplines
  • Participate in field research to collect data, engage participants, and facilitate onsite evaluations
  • ​Conduct literature reviews and background research
  • Collect, organize, and format data in preparation for analysis
  • ​Maintain quality control and ethical standards to preserve research integrity and findings
  • Analyze data using valid statistical and qualitative research methods
  • Assist in preparation for institutional review board (IRB) processing
  • Work with the senior researcher to develop research protocols and instruments including interview questions, focus group themes, survey items, and research frameworks
  • Recruit and manage research participants and subjects
  • Maintain accurate and secure data records, safeguarding the confidentiality of subjects
  • Request or acquire equipment or supplies necessary for the project
  • Manage and respond to project related correspondence
  • Attend project meetings
  • Prepare other articles, reports, and presentations for granting agencies, foundations, clients, and sponsors
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Master’s degree in education, social science, STEM, humanities, or a related field 
    • ​A bachelor's degree in these fields plus 3 years of experience can be substituted for the educational requirements
  • Proven experience in research design, methodology, data analysis, and report writing
  • Bilingual applicants are strongly encouraged to apply, particularly those with Spanish language skills (not required)
  • Passion for understanding diverse cultures and their impact on development and behavior
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills with attention to detail 
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Experience with and ability to conduct remote work and telecommuting
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and Google Suite 
  • Ability to travel in the U.S. and abroad on a limited basis
  • U.S. citizen or permanent resident who resides in the United States

Reporting Lines 
  • The Research Specialist reports to the Senior Researcher and/or CEO and collaborates closely with project team members

Working Conditions, Schedule, & Hiring Requirements  
  • QCS is hiring for multiple positions through this announcement.  Part-time, full-time, and temporary employee positions are available.  
  • Domestic and international travel may be required on a limited basis.  
  • Ability to lift and carry equipment up to 50 lbs.
